Welcome to the Island of the Gods! Our English-speaking driver meets you at Ngurah Rai International Airport and transfers you to your hotel. After freshening up, drive to Uluwatu Temple — a 11th-century sea temple perched 70 metres above the crashing Indian Ocean on a sheer cliff edge with hundreds of playful monkeys. Stay for the world-famous Kecak fire dance performed as the sun sets over the ocean in an open-air theatre. Then descend to Jimbaran Bay for a seafood dinner with tables set on the white sand beach.

Drive to Ubud, Bali's cultural and artistic heart. Begin at the Sacred Ubud Monkey Forest — a lush jungle sanctuary home to 700 long-tailed macaques. Visit Celuk Village's gold and silver jewellery studios. At Tegalalang, walk through UNESCO rice terraces carved into steep hillsides, famously photographed from the Bali Swing. Lunch at a Kintamani hilltop café overlooking the caldera of Mount Batur (an active volcano). Visit the holy Tirta Empul Temple where Balinese Hindus purify themselves in sacred spring water.

Early pickup at 6:30am for the speedboat ride to Nusa Penida — Bali's most dramatic island, largely undeveloped and spectacularly wild. Visit Kelingking Beach, the most iconic view in Indonesia: a T-Rex-shaped limestone headland above a pristine crescent of white sand. Continue to Angel's Billabong — a natural infinity rock pool overlooking the ocean. Broken Beach, a natural stone archway over an enclosed lagoon. Finally, Crystal Bay — one of Bali's clearest snorkelling spots.

Morning drive north to Bedugul — Bali's cool highland lake district. Stop at Wanagiri Hidden Hills for photos above twin crater lakes. Visit the stunning Pura Ulun Danu Beratan — a water temple built on a small island in misty Lake Beratan, appearing to float on the surface. Walk through Jatiluwih rice terraces — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and far less touristy than Tegalalang. Drive to Tanah Lot for the most beautiful sunset in Bali — watch the setting sun silhouette a centuries-old temple built on a black rock in the ocean.

Morning at leisure — sleep in, treat yourself to a Balinese spa massage (one of the world's best-value luxury experiences), or explore Seminyak's boutique shops. Afternoon at Tanjung Benoa Beach for exciting water sports: banana boat riding, jet-skiing, parasailing, and flying fish rides. Sunset drinks at one of Seminyak's famous beach clubs. Evening: final Balinese dinner.
